I got the code from the programmer in India. Unfortunately I had to re-write some of it since whilst some of the code would have worked it was poorly written and some of it was quite buggy. And other bits of it needed to go back to the programmer to fix it. The code he wrote looked messy. It was well set out, but messy none the less. It was not an elegant way to solve the problem, and there was not much in the way of error checking done either.
A lot of the work was good, but basically it was very hard for him to test things as he did not have experience to know how to test it, nor did he have the background needed. But the work that he did has saved me a lot of heartache. The other parcel of work he did for me was fantastic. And I would have been happy to pay 5 – 10 times for the outcome.
I have not heard if I am working on the plane on Saturday. If not I am sure that I can find some other things to do. I have not heard from my father so I am assuming that I don’t need to move all my grandmothers things out of her unit. She is still in hospital and not in a great way, although it does vary by the day.
Anyway, time for bed. Before falling asleep I might have a read of another chapter of ‘The House that Jack Built’. It is turning into a good book.
