In this business I occasionally get some strange requests. I had one from a UFO believer which must be read to be believed. You can have a look at it in the Blog Archives. I would encourage you all to have a look at this…

But this entry is not about that. I had an email earlier enquiring about GPS tracking. Nothing wrong with that. It is what I do every day, and what I love doing. This enquiry was a bit stranger than the normal ones – thanks to the location. This person was wanting to do vehicle tracking in Iraq. Yes – IRAQ. Now, I would have though that Iraq would have been the last place where I would want to be tracked, but I can see why they need it.

And before anyone asks, or even thinks about it, there is no way I will be visiting there for a site trip. They could not pay me enough to go. Iraq is not secure enough at the moment, nor will it be for quite some time. Of course if anyone wants to go there as a site representative I will supply a bullet proof vest.

Balloons

Some friends of friends are playing with some high altitude weather balloons. These things can take a camera up to about 100,000 feet (about 35KM) and take photos as well as a GPS tracker. Their site is here. Their next test is due 15/May in victoria; the day before my birthday.
