I have been monitoring the vehicle positions for several hours now in Canada and I still find this ultra-cool. Given that this is the evening Canada time, there are only two vehicle out and about, but still I am collecting some data, and finding some minor improvements that need to be made.
But the architecture seems to be working fine. It will scale, and allows the position reports to be viewed around the world. That is what I would call a win. What I really need is a 42″ screen on my wall so I can view it all the time. Actually I want a few of them so I can be constantly monitoring things.
The weather is nice outside… gently raining. Unfortunately the rain tends to mean that it is a bit cooler so I think I will need to wear more than shorts and T-Shirt to work soon. And maybe wear something other than bare feet. I have just put on some lamb skin mocosans which warm my feet up. These are not as fluffy as they were so I will probably need to get a new pair soon.
I was about to have some lunch earlier. A colleague rang me asking about doing some work for one of the TV stations. Sounds fun. That sort of thing is always fun. Anyway I need to get some food now (it is 2:00PM )… and then I will get back to work…
P.S. The photo below is one of the tracking units (minus the radio) from a previous event…
