I am now working on documenting the process of installing my software and getting it running. Each computer is different, and requires slightly different steps. Also my software is evolving all the time too. I am learning every time too more about the correct way to install the software. Right now it is fairly painless, apart from the IIS headache earlier.
The Word document manual including the install part is now up to 27 pages. A lot of this is install, and not much of anything else. Also a lot of this is unformatted notes which need to be made into coherent sentences. Well, asuming that my sentences are coherent that is.
I am still waiting for something to happen with my canadian vehicles. If I had a phone number for them I woul ring them up and get them to have a drive around so I could test thing. However some people might be annoyed at being asked to take a joyride in the middle of the night for my amusement.
Psst… Wanna Buy a Used Spacesuit
Wired has a story on one of the people selling artifacts of the Russian Space Industry… A rather interesting article. The journalist was offered a Russian Space Station for the bargain basement price of US$1m, excluding delivery. Delivery is likely to be the real killer.
Daily Telegraph Headline
The Daily Telegraph today has a headline of ‘Despair on Death Row’ talking about the Corby court case in Bali. What is interesting is that she is not on ‘Death Row’, had not been found guilty, and the prosecution have not even said if they will be looking for a death sentence. Basically the healine is sensationalistic and leads you to the view that she has been found guilty and is facing a firing squad unless she gains clemency.
I am opposed to the death penalty, but I also feel that Newspapers should act ethically. This headline is designed to sell newspapers on the basis of mis-represented facts. I would guess that this is close to the edge as far as ethics go… And this will not be the last time this sort of thing happens…
