OK… I was going to post last night, but… Well, you know. I had the talk to give, and then get home… and then I wanted to relax driving home. Not that I could have written the Blog whilst driving… Then once I got home I wanted to watch the bill…
The talk was good… I guessed that it would take about 90 minutes to get there during peak hour… It ended up taking about 45 minutes, so I managed to update the presentation whilst I was waiting outside in my car. And I added some finishing touches to a blog entry too… I was on Vodafone GPRS at the time.
The meeting was good. When I got there I found that I was on for about 15 minutes… When it had been organized I asked how long the meeting went for, and was told two hours… So I assumed that I had an hour or so to talk… But I only had 15 minutes so I needed to compress my presentation in time, and not go into as much detail as I would have liked.
But the talk went well I think. I got some laughs. This laptop has an annoying habit of turning off the main screen when you plug in a video projector which was a pain – a real pain. But I coped with that. I get the impression that most of the people there would have loved to see the presentation in full length rather than in a 20 minute version… Still I think it was a good marketing exercise.
The static track for google earth for yesterday is here. If you load google earth you can load this in and display it. If you look in the north ryde areas you will see where I stopped… And also where I took a slight wrong turn. It was cute to show this in real time (showing where my car was) during the presentation…
I will post a copy of the presentation later…
