Music… And lots of it…

The Phantom of the Opera.

I picked up a copy of the double CD in Auckland Airport. The price was about the same I paid for the single CD… If anyone wants a single CD please let me know. Anyway the double CD is about two hours long and appears to closely follow the film. I saw the movie in Canberra really loved it.

The double CD is an improvement on the single CD version. One of the things I found out is that Mike Batt did some of the additional vocals on some of the songs. Mike Batt did the musical The Hunting Of The Snark based on the Lewis Carol poem; a poem which was written to fit with the phrase ‘For the Snark was a Boojum you see!’. But what makes Mike Batt more important is that he wrote the theme from the Wombles Of Wimbledon.

Harrigan Logan

Kevin also gave me a copy of Harrigan Logan self titled album. The best song on this album has to be track 9, Shine. Apparently Kevin did a whole lot of work on this track to bring this track to what we have today.

Matchbox 20

I have finally picked up a couple of Matchbox 20 CD’s. Like, I have always known of the band but never really listened to them apart from on the radio. Just after christmas I was introduced to the music and I really loved it. My favourite song must be ‘If You’re Gone’, where most of the lines start ‘I THINK’.

Lots and Lots of Blogging

OK. So I have been doing a lot of blogging at the moment. Why? Well, I have a bit more time to spend blogging now. I find it is a good way to work out what my thoughts and feelings are. In a blog I can give an opinion, make deductions, make remarks & observations & make conclusions; Knowing that the people who come here to read those comments will find it interesting to hear what my views are.
