Oncologist etc

OK. Good news. The Oncologist does not need to see mum for six months. The last appointment was three months ago, so this is a good sign. I think we can safely say that she is in remission.

The oncology part of the hospital is actually rather nice with free coffee and biscuits for visitors. And if you are getting Chemo they have small DVD players for you to watch, and a movie library.

Last night I was playing arround with some mobile phone related hardware. Things were not working properly, and I was a little annoyed. I was reading the manual, and doing what it suggested. Then I realised that the manual did not actually line up with the device I had… Hmm… So I asked the supplier, and got an email with the manual at 2AM this morning. That is service.

But the manual was missing a feature, so I asked the supplier about this… They just rang me to tell me that their supplier had not yet finished writing the code for the feature, and hadn’t told my supplier. Such is the life of an Engineer. Trust but verify.

Sometime this afternoon I plan to go running if it is not too hot. I might take a tracker with me so people with access can see me on the net. Otherwise you will need to wait until I come back to see where I have been.
