There is an interesting article on the LA Times about Lake Powel, which is the lake made by the Hoover Dam at Las Vegas. I will post some photos of Lake Powell in the next few days. But a six year drought has caused the water level to drop by about 40 meters meaning that many caves and canyons are now visible, and have not been for many years, and will hopefully not be seen for many more when the dam fills up.

The lake itself is over 100 miles long, and with the decreased water level there are a lot of areas that can be hiked, with spectacular sights. Actually this area was also the subject of one of the Clive Custler Books.

Music:

Let Joy and Innocence Prevail – by Grace Jones who is more well known for her song ‘Slave to the Rhythm’. This song is from the Soundtrack to Toys featuring Robyn Williams. This really is a classic song from a classic movie. The song really does tell a story.

Right now the Jukebox is playing The Pretenders version of the Bob Dylan song ‘Forever Young’. Just like the Madonna verion of ‘American Pie’ I don’t know that this version is better… Just different.
