I have just introduced a friend of mine to AOL Instant Messanger. His first comment was “Gawd – what are all these bozo sounds”. I should say that I find the sounds in AIM rather strange. They appear when you have the program active, but not if the another program is active. It should be exactly OPPOSITE this. I want noises mostly if another program is open. It may just be me who wants it that way though.
A friend of mine just sent me a link to the photos from his honeymoon on Long Island, near Hamilton Island. All I can say is WOW. The link is here. Looks amazing.
A Fish Tank
HackADay has an article on turning a Piano into a AquaPiano Fishtank. I have sent a link of this to a friend of mine with a vintage Steinway suggesting that I modify it for him the next time I visit. Not sure what his reaction will be, but I expect that it will either be a good laugh, or a suggestion to come on over immediately – neither of which would involve actually hurting the piano.
They also feature an article on how to add a 300 GByte HDD to an iPOD. I think the best way to discribe the actual page is how to murder an iPod.
Music:
I have the song “Vox (Extended)” by Sarah McLachlan on Random Play on the headphones. It sounds psychedelic with the headphones, and really does sound as if the Marc Almond Band has been working on the music.
