I didn’t do any running today, but I did some sit-ups. I only managed to do about 10 twice. That was enough. I need to do a lot more but it is a good start. This afternoon I finished watching the sequel to ‘The Italian Job’ which I enjoyed. This really is not the greatest movie of all time, but it is certainly a fun movie. I loved how they designed the heist… Copying parts from the original movie, but making things different.

I found myself holding my breath during the opening seuqence where they steal some gold in venice. The method of the heist was unique and had twists and turns to deflect what appeared to be going on. A bigger budget would have been good for the movie, but they did an OK job I think.

This afternoon, ‘The Games’ has been on Cable… I love this show so much. It was so much life much of the Olympics was. I mean, many of the things they joked about happened in real life. It really was quite surreal.

The house that jack built

I have just finished reading Catherine Barry’s The House That Jack Built and found it a rather interesting read. It was definitely worth the $3 I paid for it. It is I would guess a coming of age story of a woman of 30… Or of how she screws up her life, and then how she is dragged kicking and screaming to fix her life.

The book was not what I expected, and the plot took turns and twists that I was certainly not expecting. It was refreshing that I could not tell the ending of the story even a hundred pages before. The fact is that this book sounds semi-autobiographical. It seems to be based on her experiences growing up, and may well be based on her life.

My next book to read will be The House Husband by Owen Whittaker
