I didn’t realise how tired I was last night until I wrote the short Blog entry that precedes this one. I think I was slightly dehydrated for some reason too. I did drink water yesterday but obviously not enough. It was a bit humid yesterday and I think that took something out of me.

Today I have some hardware to work on, some Software to write and debug, and some emails to reply to. Thankfully there was not too much come in over the weekend that needed attention. Well there is some in my inbox, but that just needs to be deleted.

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

The Biographer of Douglas Adams has written a review of the Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy (HHGTTG or HHG2TG or HHG) movie about to be released. You can read his review without any spoilers here. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy movie is an abomination” the author comments. This is probably the worst review I have read for a *LONG* time. Sure, the guy is slightly biased, but the movie sounds just wrong from his description.

Music:

Jon Anderson and Vangelis with ‘Horizon’ from their Private Collection album. I picked up my first album by the duo from a 2nd hand store opposite World Square years ago when I was Still at Uni. I did not realise at the time that it would be the first of many by them. Jon Anderson is from the legendary group ‘Yes’, and Vangelis wrote ‘Chariots of Fire’.

The Internet

This is a photo I took at ‘The Computer Museum’ in Boston when it was running next to the Children’s Museum. Alas it is no longer running, but they have moved the artifacts to Silicon Valley. I donated some hardware for the museum – some australian made computers. Anyway this is a photo of what is called an ‘Interface Message Processor’ or IMP, or ‘Fuzzball’. This device and two or three others WERE The Internet when they were comissioned.
