3D Streets

There is an article in the SMH on 3D Simulations of cities. This is old news. Below is a scene from some real time animation done for the 2000 Paralympics from my friends at Rezn8 in Hollywood.

If that looks good, there is a 16 mByte animation on the REZN8 WWW site that is really cool. We had this moving line locked to GPS… Great job that one…

Get Perpendicular

Hitachi have released a piece of marketing for the Microdrives that they purchased off IBM. Hitachi is saying that they can now store information perpendicular on the platter, rather than flat. If this sounds strange, they have produced a song with animation to explain it here. They are claiming that they can store 10x the information.

Ethernet Killer

One of my clients has forwarded me this photo which he calls ‘Ethernet Killer’… Which means it kills an ethernet port, and maybe a person using a computer at the other end. Maybe. Anyway the photo looks cute. I have asked him for one with an Australian plug and he is looking into it.
