I am here staying in the Astor Motel in Albury. It is about three stars, and unfortunately there are trucks going past all the time. Shutting the windows will fix some of that, but I want to have some airflow at the moment.

I love this wireless access… I was just using RemoteDesktop to Canada… And I found the performance amazing. Actually it was close to what I would see at home. And this was going about 11,500km or so.

I just played the song ‘Sydney from a 747 at night’ from Home, and listened to the Lyrics and transcribed them. They appear below. I am not saying that there will not be errors, but this is as close as I can get it… The version I have is sung by Wendy Matthews I think from The Olympic Album…

Have you every seen Sydney from a 747 at Night?
Oh, Sydney Shines such a beautiful Light
And I can see Bondi from my Windows Way off to the right
And the crashing waves on a distant break
And a Sleeping Sydney just about Wake
Have you every seen Sydney from a 747 at Night?

Now the red roofs are catching the first rays of the morning sun
My eyes are full of sand from my midnight run
The captain says better wake up now, we’ll be touching down in ten
So I press my seat and I staighten up and
I stow my tray and I stash my cup
Now the red roofs are catching the first rays of the morning sun

Have you ever falled for a boy with different coloured eyes?
Then sent him packing; They were full of lies
Have you ever longed to see the sun fall where it used to rise?
And quit your job on the spot
And bought a ticket, yes spent the lot
Have you ever falled for a boy with different coloured eyes?
