I am still trying to work out the best way to do a french version of my program. I have some ideas, but none of them are great. There should be an easy way, but I have not found it yet. The other issue is getting the correct abreviation for some of the words I am using. Knowing french (or more correctly having seen this type of thing before since I do not actually know french) I am sure that I will have much longer words to add than I am using at the moment.
The possible solutions I am thinking of are a text file with the translations, an embedded excel spreadsheet, a ‘Resource File’… And there may be some other options. I suspect that the best option will be code inside the program to set things to french when needed. It will not be elegant, but it will provide the best bang/buck I suspect.
Yes… I have just looked at the code… I will include the code in my program to do the translations hard-coded. At least until the next version of VB.NET comes out and I might change things then. But that will not be until november, and I want something before then.
Anyway I had better get onto that now. Oh, Listening to Wuthering Heights was good last night…. Maybe I will listen to more of it tonight… I am really enjoying it.
