The MakeEZine Blog contains a cool idea – with CDMA 1x becoming fast – really fast – and not too expensive, then why not share. That is when you are at an airport or something like that, why not enable sharing on your laptop so that people can use 802.11 to connect to your laptop and then connect to the internet through your CDMA card. Given how much is being charged at some hotspots I think this is a cool idea….

According to Whirlpool, Telstra have just finished a trial of 20 KM ADSL. Normally when they finish a trial it means that things stop working. In this case it means that they will be extending things to other areas… So if you are more than the normal distance from the exchange and want ADSL, there is some hope… At least until Teltra gets sold off…

Today I have some hardware to build – a TNC-X for a client in New Zealand and also an interface board. Both should be fun. I also have some software to test and put on my WWW site… Later today I hope to release a VB.NET control I have had written that decodes Benefon phone messages…
