One more job is off the to-do list, and more are on it. This is how things go of course. But it does mean that I at least have a lot of work to do. And I am learning things too – well between phone calls that is. One thing I forgot earlier – I had a phone call whilst I was in the parking lot with the PC’s in the boot I had phone call from a client/friend. This was mildly inconvenient since the bluetooth handsfree had picked it up – meaning I needed to get into the body of the car to answer my phone.
Anyway this client was telling me that we wanted some work done in the next few days if possible since he was doing a couple of hours in Taipai for a site inspection on Wednesday. All I can think is that this is a HUGE distance to travel for such a short period of time. Still, if the client is prepared to pay for it… To me the entire concept is surreal.
Kottke.org has a list of 50 things to do with your iPod. Some of the things are particularly useless, and some are so obvious (like, who would have thought of using the iPod in your car?), but there are some I would never have thought of. Things like using it for displaying recipies, or attaching it as part of a RAID array in a server.
