Things are gradually getting off my to-do list. Some things were not expected to be off today are now off it. And other things have been added. On tuesday of last week I got an order for some IC’s. So I placed an order with my supplier in the USA. The parts were postmarked January 3 from Las Vegas, and I got them this morning. I was expecting them to be here next week at the earliest. They are of the type that just need to be placed into a new postpack and sent on. Perfect.
One of the things on the list was to pay some bills. This was fine until I got to the cashback for the M4/5. They wanted a phone number in it for contact. I started with 0 2 9 6 1 8 6 4, and then ran out of spaces. Ahh, Even though only 2/2rds of NSW is in the 02 area code they assumed that everyone was and therefore decided not to ask for the area code. Great. That one will be sent to COMP.RISKS… One more thing for my list.
One other thing… I have found a couple of bugs with the software that comes with the Vodafone 3G card. Firstly is that if you have Internet Explorer running when you put the device in, the software will hang until IE is shut down. The other bug is that all images are ‘compressed’ regardless of the settings in the software. This is mildly annoying if you are wanting to use the web. This is fatal if you are trying to use GoogleEarth! Vodafone are sending me a CD with the new version of the software on it. Thanks, Vodafone.
