Breathe In. Slowly Exhale. Make an ‘Ahhh’ sound as I ask myself what I am doing updating my Blog now when I could just as easilly do so in the morning where I am not about to fall asleep in bed with my laptop on my lap, light on, and glasses on. Well, I wanted to write things down whilst they were fresh in my mind – and put them down on paper before I forgot things. Well, things have been forgotten, and my mind is not fresh, but you get the idea I am sure.
Visiting the computer market at North Rocks was an interesting affair. I only found one store there, and thankfully they had an ADSL router that will be needed by a client of mine. The ethernet hub will have to wait or will be purchased at a local computer store. It was strange not having many stores there, and I thought that I had missed the start date of the market for this year. Then I started back and found that Muirfield High School is the new location of the market. I did not go in there but it looked as if there were a lot of stores there selling their wares. It seemed everyone knew the market had moved except me.
Then we did some work on the plane. First trick was to make up a small bracket and mount it on the plane. I lost count of the number of brackets we made – was it three or four? Anyway it just did not sit properly. Then we worked out how it might work, and looked at the diagram. Both of us had been mis-reading it for more than an hour. Worse, I could not see how it could be any plainer what should appear on the diagram.
Then we worked on some roll bar stiffeners. These are pieces of metal that need to be bent to lie flat on a spiral. Sound hard. It is. The first one probably took well over an hour. The 2nd one took more like 10 minutes. Funny how that happens. I often think that if there are left and right parts we should get two of the left, and throw the first away once we have learned how to build it. Anyway, I think that was all the building we got done today… I am starting to droop, and need some sleep.
