Happy Easter

Given that today is Easter Sunday, I guess the first thing I should do is offer everyone a happy easter. Given the weather this weekend I am convinced that this is NOT easter. The easter weekend is supposed to be cold and wet, and so far at least this has not been the case.

Yesterday working on the plane was fun… Mostly. The mostly includes a couple of really minor perspex cuts on my fingers, and a more major cut on my shin. The gash on my shin came from hitting the plane as I was getting down off a crate… Being on the shin the cut was probably a bit nastier than it would have been if it was elsewhere…

Whilst not cutting my fingers and the like, we spent the time cutting the perspex sliding cover size, and then drilling it. Cutting was not hard, albeit messy with bits of powdered perspex flying everywhere. As we did more cuts we got better at actually finely cutting the pespex. We also worked out that using the scraper was probably better for fine tuning… Even if it was up to 1/4 of an inch!

Drilling was slightly stressful, but turned out fine. Getting the holes lined up with the metal tubing… Gaffer Tape on the tube with some water on the tape made it easy to line up where the holes needed to go onto the plane. Amazingly when we put the perspex on the plane things just lined up. We were just amazed.
