The BBC is reporting on the economics of concerts showing that whilst music prices have been increasing fairly close to CPI, the price of concerts has been rising significantly faster. Modern concerts tend to be a bit more elabourate than in the past, leading to increased costs… But that would not account for the entire difference in price.
