This morning I had a memorial service at the church for one of the old members who died just before easter… She had been a member of the church as long as I had been there, and it was interesting to hear some of the things that she had done in her life – things that I had no idea about despite knowing her for years. Things like the fact that she had been doing underwater welding just after the war, worked on the ANZCAN transpacific telecommunications cable and more.

Following that I spent a good afternoon working on the plane… This was fun, although we only really got the rail on the top of the plane installed. That was important enough to install since we can now move the canopy forwards and back. Tomorrow we will probably install permamently the rails that the canopy slides in. These are already on the plane, but need to be bolted on.
