I guess my marketing for my business is fairly good… Overnight I got an email from Salt Lake City in the USA requesting some assistance with a film project doing tracking. The problem is that this project is in the USA on May 19/20 which is very quick to get equipment to the USA. It would be good to go over there to work on this job, but I suspect that their budget will not allow it, and also I have other things on at that time.

Short update… I just had a phone call from the client after emailing… Not bad… Consulting work at 7:30AM on a sunday morning. Well, I was up. After speaking to the client I am happier about things – and I do not need to find local expertese thankfully.

I found a link on the BBC about some research in Israel about measuring rainfall using cellphone signal degridation. I have been thinking about GPS being used to measure rain for some time… But I had never thought about using cellphone towers and signals… Also, The Twin Cities Pioneer Press is reporting about an underground radio that works up to 500ft underground. This work is still in the research stage…
