The meeting went well today, but they did not need a demo of my stuff at the moment. It appears that there is some politics involved, and the business driver was not the tracking side, but more navigation.

It was interesting going to the meeting – I was not entirely sure where it was or how to get there, but the back seat passenger had a tablet PC with navigation software, and it was yelling out which turns to make. We went a rather strange way, but it worked really really well. I was somewhat impressed.

Wired has an interesting article on the top 10 engineering mistakes including William Mulholand’s Los Angeles dam which then burst killing 450 people and the DC-10 which killed almost 1000 people before the engineers removed the bugs from the design.
