I am getting to like more and more the latest version of Internet Explorer. You can download it from the Microsoft WWW site if you want to get a copy – and it is well worth it. As time goes by the software gets better – with the user interface improving significantly. One feature which I initially hated, which I have grown to appercieate is the menu dissapearing until you press the ALT key. It gives you more screen area, but also tends to suggest that you use the shortcut keys like F5 for refresh.

I also looked at Microsoft Office 2007 today – via the Microsoft WWW site. They did this by placing the Citrix client onto a WWW site, and giving you access to their server farm. I dont know that I had ever used Citrix before – but it seemed to work. I use Microsoft’s Remote Desktop all the time, and also VNC, but never Citrix. Office looks good, although it would appear that most of the work seems to be user interface type things.

I was impressed by the new version of Microsoft Outlook. I downloaded the trial, but I have been somewhat scared of installing it on my main laptop. I might install it on another computer first, and then see how that goes. Then move towards installing it on my laptop. I will report once I try it.
