Another movie – Fast and the Furious – the original, not the new one. Near the beginning of the movie they have a heap of cars coming up to a diner and people getting out of their cars… The only problem is that this movie is set in Los Angeles… and most of the cars are left hand drive. Well, all of them really. But with the diner scene they have the driver getting out of a car with a steering wheel on the right hand side…. which should not be happening in the USA where they drive on the other side. I am guessing that they needed to reverse the film to get it to fit with the look.
And a link… MSNBC has a profile of a SpyWare company and how they operate. Interesting read on this seedy part of the computer business…
And a hint for suppliers… If you are going to get a client to stand up in front of a conference, make sure you know what they are going to say. According to ZDNet, SUN made the mistake of asking the NSW Department of Primary Industry to participate in an interview. After 20 minutes SUN asked them to recount the initial design phase of the project, and all of a sudden they didn’t seem to be describing Sun as doing the “terrific” work he’d said they’d done earlier. “We bought a design I believe … whereas Sun sold us a set of hardware and software and professional services during the implementation,”. OOPS!
