Today I have been hacking up some VB.NET code to interface to OziExplorer. A client suggested that he needed a product, and I joked that I could have that ready by the end of the day. And by the look on his face I do not think he believed me. I have actually managed to get a basic version of the software done already. More work is needed of course, but it actually does work. I need to add things to OziExplorer like callbacks so I can have the software that does things when I click on the map.

BaseLine magazine has an article on how Google manages it’s IT infrastructure. With the number of computers that they have, this is an important operation for their business. This is a remarkably good read into a rather secretive company.

Anyway time to get going… Time for the commute home
