I think I have found one of the more useless Web Sites available. It is for Whiteleys which was the first department store in the UK, but is now a shopping centre. They say that car parking in london is expensive, so they try to keep their parking prices down, to 50 pounds for between 12 and 24 hours. This just sounds somewhat expensive. But you click on most of the sections and it wants to download about 2 MBytes of graphics before showing the content. And there is nothing there.

Frequently asked questions include the classic ‘I want to make a phone call now!’, and they give the answer saying where the phones are in the place. I would not be going to their Web Site wanting to locate their public phones. To be using the internet I would usually be at home. Basically the site looks good but is somewhat dysfunctional. I am guessing though that those involved think it is just wonderful. It just seems to have that feel.
