Then I mowed the lawns – the first time since Autumn. And then I put the path back after the plumbing work. And I went shopping too. So rather a full day all in all.

There is a great quote from The Simpsons where Homer Simpsons says to one of the kids ‘In this house we obey the laws of Physics’. The kid (who I assume was Lisa but I cannot remember at this stage) has built a machine that kept getting faster and faster – a perpetual motion machine. Well an Irish company has stated that they think that they have done the same thing. I am not convinced. I do not think I am the only one. There is even a story in The Guardian about them.

The BBC has released a list of their top eight Unsung Landmarks. I do not plan to visit any of them in the coming weeks when I am in the UK… None are in places I want to visit. The BBC is also reporting that Time Team is digging in Digs will take place in the grounds of Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh this weekend. They were specifically invited by the queen to dig so that she could learn about what she has been walking on top of all these years.
