At each stage here I have got tons of information from the places I have booked with. I got a package from the company doing the transfers. Another from the hotel. And another from the transfer company at the hotel. But I am not all that happy with them. I got not enough sleep last night so I went out about 7am and grabbed a power adapter and some macadamia nuts and a Milo milk drink. And grabbed breakfast. And then went to bed. Then about 9:30 AM the tour people in the hotel ring asking to make sure I was happy about the transfer, and wanting to know if they could book anything for me. Nice yes, but I got in at 1am to the hotel. Maybe I would still be asleep at that time. Thanks guys.

Anyway, here is a view from my Hotel.

When I was out getting the power adapter I saw the normal electrical wiring, and maybe phone wiring. Not sure about the latter though. I thought this was a joke when I had seen it before. This is real, and common.

The Asian Economic Chrisis is still here, with the half built buildings just as they were when the chrsis hit. And the slum next to the building. Not shown is the building refuse dump next to that from the building that used to be in the place of the slum and the tower. These photos were taken of the Sky Train

The SKY TRAIN really is amazing. It is almost a city in the sky. There is a LOT of concrete in this. It must have been a marvel to see it being built. Quite amazing. Just so solid!

I took the SKY TRAIN to MBK which is sort of like a large parklea markets. Except this one has about 100 cellphone suppliers, who even have surface mount gear to repair phones whilst you wait at component level. This was amazing. If only I knew what model new phone I wanted I would have got it here. Like much of Bangkok there was heaps of pirated music and DVD’s for sale here…
