I just had an email from one of my clients. Based in Norway, I have not heard from this client for about 12 months. It is great to hear from them, particularly since they are wanting to pay me some money for a tiny bit of business development that I did back then. What was cute was being able to monitor when the next bus was coming. There was only one thing. The bus that I was monitoring was in it’s way to Oslo.
Even if they never pay then it will have been worth it… I learned a whole lot of stuff doing the work that is the cornerstone of my business. Sometimes it is amazing how things happen just when it is needed. Skills are provided just before I need them. It is really amazing. I have just emailed them with some information on my new products and I am waiting to hear back.
There was an interesting story in the SMH today about how the New Zealand Prime Minister was slightly injured when a light plan she was in hit turbulance and the door opened. Strangely two police officers had to keep a hand on the door to keep it closed. I would have thought that the door would have kept fairly well closed anyway thanks to the air passing by it… The report on the incident will be interesting…
