This quote came from the Dilbert Newsletter. There are a whole lot of good but stupid quotes, but this one takes the cake.
“One of the secretaries at our office made a copy of a document and put the original through the shredder. When I questioned this, she explained that the client did not need the document, and the file only needed a copy, so there was no need to keep the original document. She couldn’t understand my amusement.“
I certainly hope that all my readers can see the reason for the writers amusement. If not… Well, lets not go there. Please….
I heard from Richard. One of the fuel tanks is now fully sealed. The other is leaking in some places. He is working on fixing that, and I believe that he has a solution, mostly involving more goop and riveting. He has suggested having a party to celebrate the finishing of the fuel tanks. Given that this has been going on for well over six months I think that party is well worth it.
This afternoon I have been working on a server in western canada, and patching it to the latest microsoft patches. Better to fix things before they need fixing than after a hacker has broken in or broken things. Preventative Maintanence I think the correct word is. Aparently it was a nice day over there today, reaching up to 10C from a low around freezing.
Anyway I had better get back to work. More updates soon.
