
Firstly there is an interesting story on The Wall Street Journal about the day that email died in the office. It is an interesting look at how much email is a part of life in the modern company. I have had email fail a few times and it is not good. The worst was when my server died dur to a minor flood when I was in the USA. With the help of friends I was able to point email to another server and I continued on.
Next comes a WWW site called HomeBrewCPU.COM about a guy who has built his own CPU, and then run’s TCP/IP on top of it. This is really amazing. There is a photo below from the site – and the whole thing looks great. I am not sure about the time investment – I would get rather frustrated I suspect…
Lastly, Apple have announced that they are moving to the Intel Processor for their computers. Their operating system has been running on Intel for the last five years, secretly. Over the next couple of years they intend to transition to Intel. This does not mean ‘Windows Compatible’ but it does mean that an emulator will be easier…
