This is *REALLY* cool

You can find this photo on Page 6 of the Sydney Morning Herald today. Now, what is so important about this? Well, this is PCSAT2 which was built by a friend in the USA. You can see some photos on here. They are on the WWW site of another friend up in Brisbane, and you can see more information on this site. He has built a ground station and is operating it successfully for PC-Sat. It is something that I would not mind doing if I had the time.

I have listened to the Russion Space Station a few years back… That was cool, hearing Andy Thomas early one morning. With some computer control of radios it would not be hard at all. Since PCSAT2 is being attached to the ISS, it will probably be operational for a few years to come. I first heard about this project back in 1997, and it is good for things to finally come off.

Now, for the Rev Head’s… Of which I am not one, you *MUST* check out this site about changing the engine in a WRX from about 210 HP to about 280. That is just under 3 times the power in my car. And you should see under the bonnet when the poor guy was changing the wiring harness and the engine control unit… ARGH.
