Tonight I saw a doco on The Da Vinci Code… And I am more convinced than ever that the book is a great work of fiction. I did learn a number of things though – like that Mary Magnelin was not a prostitute as far as history records. There is no evidence for this until about 500 AD… It is interesting to hear what various people believe. Very interesting.
I have found this site that shows how to start a fire using ice. Basically you use ice as a lens to focus sunlight. Works really well. I also found out why when you freeze water why the centre of the ice is white. That is where all the impurities end up as the water freezes. That includes disolved minerals, and more importantly disolved water. Basically the freezing process purifies the water. This works with most liquids becoming solids… I had just never thought about it happening with water before.
Also when Richard and I get bored, I have found a new project to replace the plane. This is a submarine. Looks cute, but I suspect it is also a bit more dangerous. Also I am not sure how useful it actually is.
Once final thing… Here is a house, or more correctly a building made mostly of cardboard. Interesting concept…
