I am thinking – this time next weekend I will be waiting for my flight at the Airport – probably sitting in the Qantas Club area checking my email before shutting the laptop down for the flight. I have a couple of books to read, and I picked up some discount CD’s today at K-Mart – CD’s that I was going to get anyway but never got around to. The CD’s were ’38 of the Greatest #1’s of all time’, Enigma Best Of, Bruce Springsteen with ‘The Rising’, and ‘Unofficial National Anthems – The Ballards Vol 3’.

I have not heard any of this yet as I am just grabbing them right now and importing them into my archive. Then I will synch them to my iPod. I am just importing the Unnofficial Anthems CD now and it is the one that looks the most interesting.

I read the Interdictor Blog this mornng… It had some interesting quotes – and I loved these quotes. You might remember that this is Blog is from an ISP in the centre of New Orleans CBD.

We went by Hibernia Bank where water was being pumped out what looked to be a basement into the street — a lot of water – steady pumping. The security guys were armed to the nines (whatever that means 😉 ) and while very very friendly and apologetic, insisted they could not be interviewed. Understandable, since it is a major bank.

We talked to some guys splicing the submerged fiber cable at the corner of Camp and Poydras on the south side of the intersection. The were trying to get expedia and telcove patched up. The guys said that most of the rest of the city and the surrounding suburbs would have to wait for weeks — wait for the water to drain and then for Entergy to come in and do their thing first.

Anyway, time to go… Stuff to do…
