I finally understand some of what Telstra is thinking with their plan to get rid of CDMA. With time comes details, and with details comes logic. And I can see the logic in their plan. They want to basically outsource the building of the new network to Ericsson for about $1b, and do this over the next two years. This would remove much of the uncertainty as to CDMA.
