I could say I was back at work today, but that would be a lie. The truth is that I have been sort of working the entire Christmas/New Year period. Just that right now the public holidays have finished, and everyone else is going back to work so I need to get the things done on my ‘To Do List’. And there are quite a few things to do. I really just need to work through them in a logical manner and I will soon be caught up. Over the past little while I have been taking some time off doing other work to spend time on the plane.

Despite this being work, I think that spending time on the plane actually is quite relaxing. It is something different, and stimulates different parts of my brain. Having to work out how the parts all fit together is interesting, and I am always having to think several steps ahead so that we do not box ourselves into a corner. Not that we are always successful in that, but we are fairly good. And if we box ourselves in we do seem to be able to escape most of the time without too many problems.

I was reading the SMH today, and it appears that I will have to go into the city one night in January to look at ‘Hyde Park’. They have set up a large piece of artwork there – a war of the worlds type of thing. I am not sure how I could do any better than the SMH. I trust this would not be too scary. A few years back when I was in the USA I visited the “Grinch’s christmas Grotto” at Universal Studios, and I must say that I almost used the ‘scared child exits’, since I found it yucky. I guess the pride of being an adult stopped me and made me grin and bear it.
