One order is has just been completed, and will be sent this morning. And I have a another couple of orders in production. I am just taking a break from work right now – I find that varying my work between spending time on the PC, and doing things that are more practical makes me more productive.

My mother heard back from the supervisors on her doctorate. Right now it is still in the administrative process following the thesis being submitted to the examiners. It is unsure how long this will last, but it would be my guess is that she will get her doctorate at the end of this year some time. But right now that is just a personal opinion – and universities are not usually known for their speed.

Apple has released some iPod statistics. They shipped 14 million iPods last quarter, and have shipped a total of 42 million of them ever. Whatever way you look at this, it is a HUGE number of devices, as well as a huge marketing coup. After all, the iPod is synonimous with the MP3 music, and realistically, given the world population, 42 million is not all that many. Not when you concider there are over a billion cellphones out there. And Apple has the naming rights to the industry which must be really cool.

I had better get some more work done. I need to unpack my car from yesterday when I did some work at my brothers… I was too exhausted to do it yesterday – so I need to do that job now. Then back to the soldering.
