I am now home after a long day building. We did not get the things done that I thought we were going to get done, but got some other things done instead. The first thing that I worked on was a wooden frame to sit on the bottom of the aircraft at the back so that some sucker (probably me) will be able to get into the back and lie down to assist in riveting. The board reminds me of a back board used when doing first air.

Following that we then started match drilling the top skin of the rear. This actually took the rest of the day surprisingly. There is an amazing amount of work required get the two sheets lined up. Tomrrow afternoon the job will be to remove the skins and deburr them and also dimple them before riveting. I do not think we will get any riveting done tomorrow, but I am guessing that we will be doing everything but…

So basically just another day working on the plane 🙂
