I am slowly getting things done today – no phone calls, and not many email messages so I am actually getting a chance to do some real work. Whatever real work is BTW – and if anyone can work it out I would be interested in knowing. For instance I had a client email me yesterday showing me the reports he had designed for use in my software. They were really good – and really functional. He wanted to turn the reports into job sheets, and did a good job at it I must say. As a small business owner he was working on a weekend, and then I spent some time replying to him last night at home.
I have just found a strange thing happening with my server software, so I guess I know what I will be doing when I finish this entry…
The magazine Popular Mechanics has an article on the 15 tech concepts that will be important during the next 12 months. I am not sure I agree with them all, but I will keep an eye out on them now. The Etzy.COM site has plush tetris blocks for sale for toddlers. They are supposed to teach spacial concepts… That is working out what goes together, and that blocks cannot go through each other. Important concepts really.
Finally, An MIT Startup has released a tool for telling if web sites are good or bad. They register with a special email address and see if they get spam on that address… And they have a plugin for browsers that warns you what is going on…
