For some reason I went looking for the lyrics of Cats in the Cradle performed by Ugly Kid Joe amongst others aparently although iTunes only has the original version. Looking at the lyrics I cannot really work out how it could possibly get sung – there seems to be no rhyme to it, but since the song does get sung there must be. I had never actually listened to the lyrics before, and it is a bit of a sad song – telling of a fathers promise to his son to spend time with him ‘soon’, and never getting around to it.

Sydney Morning Herald today has a story about how THE TIMES in the UK has had a rule changed in the passport office in the UK requiring that babies have a neutral expression in passport photos. In three months of last year 15,000 passports for children in the UK were rejected on the basis of the photos. One was rejected because the ‘baby was too shiny’ and another was rejected one ‘whoes teeth too big’.

Worth 1000 has a competition for the best ‘Out of place’ photos. I love this one, obviously of mars with Uluru, or Ayers Rock from the centre of Australia.
