I got a book in the mail from AMAZON.COM yesterday called ‘Droidmaker’ which is some of the history of George Lucas and his company Industrial Light and Magic. Not that I am a great fan of StarWars, I love the inside stories behind the pictues. How things work and how things got done. That sort of thing. The book is probably one of the best researched books I have in my library judging from the few pages I have read already.

It seems that whenever a person is mentioned, they have a footnote saying what movies they worked on. The index at the back includes copious amounts of information. And there are panels talking about interesting stuff which is a distraction from the main story. I was not expecting the book to be quite so long either – at about 500 pages or so. I made the mistake of reading it last night before bed, and before I knew it an hour had passed.

I will report more on the book as I work though it… Right now I am enjoying it after finding little to sink my teeth into in the authors introduction. Thankfully things really improved from there on.
