Today I hoped to get some work things done… In the end though I did not really get around to it… Realistically I needed some down time, and I actively used the time for that… Like having an afternoon sleep in the lounge chair. It was so refreshing. Now, whilst typing this I am watching Mission Impossible II on DVD…

This afternoon I finished reading DROIDMAKER which was about bits and pieces of the history of ILM and Lucasfilm. Great book – one that was really hard to put down. At times it was hard reading the footnotes, but they did make the story more readable. I have a couple of friends who were not mentioned in the book, but who were on the sidelines of many of the events in the book. I will have to suggest that both of them get copies.

My mother is still having battles with her uni over her EdD Doctoral degree. They are just seeming to stall things in the appeal process. It is the sort of thing that I have see far too often… Policy Documents not being made available until you ask specifically for them… only after you know to ask for them. Sounds like a few too many businesses unfortunately…
