Phase one of the testing is done, and unfortunately I did not find the issues I was searching for. I didn’t think that I would, but sometimes when searching for bugs you need to start at a known point. That is what I have done here… Now I can move on searching in other locations. This I hope just needs methodical work. Documenting things as I go.

I have been thinking about the communications infrastructure being used in the world at the moment… Things are only working because the costs are so low to move information. My ISP is based in Western Australia. I think they have a server to connect to the Internet in Sydney, but all the authorisation packets need to visit WA. Theoretically email that goes to my next door neighbour, also using ADSL, will be sent around the country. It will travel thousands of KM to go a few meters. The only way that this works is that the comms links are fast and reliable and cheap.
