I am looking forward to a good day building today… Working on the plane. I have no idea what we will be doing, but I am sure it will be fun. Something different at least, rather than sitting here at home working. I can be at a friends house working 🙂 I will not even guess what we are working on today… That way I will not be dissapointed, surprised or dissapointed.

There is a movie called ‘The Skulls’ about a secret society of the same name at a University in the USA. I think I would call the movie disturbing – not quite a horror story, but suspenceful. What I did not realise until it was pointed out in the SMH was that there is a real society at Yale Uni, called the Skull and Bones. Very little is known about the society, but George W. Bush is a member… The bit I like about the article was noting that the only reason he is a member is that his father and grandfather were members.

The Tom’s Hardware site has a story about the history of the movie TRON. This was a classic 1982 movie that did not make much of an impression at the box office, but made an impression on the whole movie industry with its use of computer graphics. Sadly this history is missing details of two of my friends who worked on the movie independantly – Bill Kovacs who did computer animation, and Kevin Crossley who did sound.

Finally, ExtremeTech has a excert of one of their books, ‘How to create RFID access to your front door‘. Might be one to check out.
