There are some days when I feel as if life would be easier if I quit doing what I did and decided to take up something like, i dunno, um, sweeping streets. Opps… Actually that is what I was doing today. Literally. I was working on street sweepers at a council depot. I was installing some GPS units onto the vehicles, which might sound easy, but it was anything but.

The first unit took about four hours to install. Things were not going my way. Installing the antenna was easy… Powering it was a real real pain. It just was not working. Sweeper goes up. Sweeper goes down. Sweeper goes up. Sweeper goes down. Eventually I got the thing installed. Installing unit number two took just over an hour. I guess experience is what was needed. I still have one more unit to install. I am hoping that it might be even faster to install. I am not sure when that unit will be available.

All in all I did not get home for lunch until about 3pm, and I needed to go down to the child care centre for another few interviews at 3:30pm. And now I am finally home. Right now I am definitely putting my feet up and relaxing. Boy, do I need that!
