I was going to say something profound here, but then I got distracted and I totally forget what I was going to say. Ah, now I remember. A friend fowarded me a link to a heads up display for motorcycles, and I thought this was cool, and suggested it might be good to use as part of a geographic game using GPS and TRON type Light Cycles. The response was ‘Uh?’

Doing a little searching on the Web I found a link to Light Cycles on Wikipedia. Basically LightCycles are a life size computer generated 3D version of SNAKE that is often found on Mobile Phones. Except that this is multi-user, and in 3D. That is the trails become walls, and you can only see in front of you rather than from above. This puts a different view on the game, and makes it somewhat harder. What I was suggesting that using a heads up display in a huge field with very good communications links would allow this game to be played in real time in real life.
