Last night I needed to fill up my car with petrol before jumping onto the M7 coming home. I think I could have probably got home without filling up since the fuel light had only just come on, but I decided not to risk it. Anyway coming home I needed to drop someone home first, so I decided not to pick any fuel on Windsor road… Bit of a mistake really I think now.. The fuel there was 131.9 and 130.9, but since I had a passenger with me I decided to get fuel a little later. Which I did, but the only place I managed to find was the service station on NorWest Blvd. When I got there, for what I think is the first time ever with this car, I only got $10 worth of fuel… After all the price of petrol was $1.39 per liter which was just a bit too expensive…

A few days ago there was a SMH Blog called Lost In Transit about the worst airports in the world. PNG’s Port Moresby was the worst, but that is not the reason for this post… There was discussion about the Sydney Airport, and the following gem came out…
They are issued by the airport, not any government agency that can actually enforce it. Macbank need to take you to court and the fees involved in finding you and getting you to court normally exceed the 70-100 dollars they wack on your car.
I work at the airport and have a million placed on my car due to the parking officers misreading my parking pass. Never had a note, never had a reminder and no one I know who works at the airport and has a fine has ever paid the fine. They hand them out to everyone regardless if they are actually allowed to stop in certain areas for airline reasons.
