It is rather nice to wake up to the sound of rain… I guess the sound is so soothing, and I do like the smell of fresh rain, although in summer I should note it is so much nicer. The SMH today says that there will only be a ‘few showers’ which is a bit dissapointing, although the weather report for my birthday tomorrow notes that there might be a few showers then too.

I heard from both my coders over the weekend… They are going well. One of them is almost finished, and the other is asking questions, working out if there is a better way to do what I want. The job is much bigger with this 2nd programmer too, and I would guess it will be another 1-2 weeks before I get any real results. Once that is done I have another couple of parcels of work for him.

The Information Week Web Site has a story on how there is a growing number of people using VoIP on planes using the Connexion internet access being offered by Boeing. About 200 flights a day around the world have internet access. This is currently not offered in the USA, but this is being worked on by the FCC. The issue seems to be availability of bandwidth for the uplinks.
