Connect OSDP readers to an existing Wiegand Panel
We know that there are times when you want to start moving your readers to OSDP for the future, but your Control Panel doesn’t support OSDP. That is NOT a problem with the latest firmware for the Alarm Octopus.
With the latest update, you can now configure Alarm Octopus in CP mode, and attach the Wiegand connections to the Wiegand inputs on your existing access control system. Configure the board, and your existing system won’t know the difference. It is that simple.Â
If that wasn’t enough, you can connect two Alarm Octopus boards up together to extend Wiegand connections over long distances using OSDP.Â
